Inspection
- I organise the inspection with the seller and come along with you.
- I look over the hull, engines, cabin and paperwork and tell you plainly what I see.
- I help you line up an independent survey and engine check before you commit.
Negotiation
- I check the asking price against comparable boats I can find.
- I handle the back-and-forth with the dealer or broker for you.
- I make sure what’s included, and the settlement date, are in writing before you sign.
Insurance
- I help you work out what cover your boat and your boating need.
- I can point you to insurers for quotes, and help you compare what each policy covers.
- The choice of policy is always yours.
Delivery
- I help arrange getting the boat from the seller to your marina, mooring or home.
- For a boat further away, I help coordinate transport and the paperwork that goes with it.
- I keep you updated on timing so you know when it will arrive.
Training
- I help you find boat licence and handling courses near you.
- At handover, I walk you through the boat so you know how everything works.
- If you’d like more time at the helm, I can point you to an on-water instructor.
Servicing
- I help you find a servicing dealer or marine mechanic near where you keep the boat.
- I help you set up a simple service schedule based on the engine maker’s recommendations.
- I’m still a message away after the keys are handed over.
